Third Summit of Women Leaders of the Region

Last week, on June 2nd and 3rd, on Fruška Gora, the third Summit of Women Leaders was held in Vrdnik, with the presence of over 200 women from the entire region, including our CEO Ivana Ružičić, and over 50 top lecturers. This year’s theme of the Summit was “Future is Now”, all with the aim of empowering women and exchanging knowledge and experiences with top lecturers from various fields.

The summit was officially opened by Jelena Milenković-Orlić, Assistant Minister for Tourism in the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, who pointed out that the issue of improving the position of women is an important issue and that today there is not only one institution that should deal with this issue, all policies and all measures: “Women have proven countless times that their leadership competencies are valid in the labor market, but the gender gap is still present in all segments of society, including the business world. The employment rate of women is lower than the employment rate of men, and only 31% of the founders of companies in our country are founders. That is why holding an event like this one, which aims to empower women from the business world, is very important for the exchange of experiences, mutual inspiration and new ideas for the development of gender equality in our society, “said Jelena Milenković-Orlić, Assistant Minister for Tourism in the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications.

According to Danijela Golić, founder of the Women’s Leaders Summit, this year’s event is an opportunity for women in business to get acquainted with the latest business trends, find inspiration for their new endeavors and connect with each other, because the present provides opportunities not to be missed. On this occasion, Golić stated: “We women leaders have the right, and the obligation to remove our internal barriers, because the moment we manage to remove them, our results will be such as to break down all external barriers.” The summit of women leaders will focus all our future activities on strengthening our beliefs – to be able, to be able and to deserve more “, Golić pointed out.

The Commissioner for the Protection of Equality, Brankica Janković, also addressed the audience, emphasizing that a woman is most important to a woman: to action and help her on the path of empowerment and overcoming life obstacles. This support at a crucial moment is crucial! “The summit of women leaders is an ideal place to connect such women who have something to offer each other,” Jankovic concluded.

Some of the esteemed participants and speakers at the Summit were Ana Divac – co-founder of the Ana Foundation and Vlade Divac; Marija Ilić – President of the Board of Directors of the Video Game Industry Association of Serbia; Tanja Kuzman, PWC – Director of Digital Solutions, Start Up and Innovation; Katarina Subotić, Sales Sales Director of Telekom Srbija; Irina Nišavić, External Communication Manager at Microsoft Development Center Serbia; Manja Bogićević, founder and executive director of Kager Ai; Dušica Lukić, co-founder and product manager of Joberty; Diana Gligorijević – co-founder of the Telegroup system, Nataša Škrbić from the Digital Serbia Initiative… as well as many others.
